Kalamazoo FC Joins USL W League

KALAMAZOO, MI. – As anticipated from their early stage announcement, Kalamazoo FC will be entering the women’s soccer market with an extended partnership into USL W League. With a storied background coming off of an amazing 2021 USL2 season on the men’s side, we are beyond excited to see how this journey continues with the women’s side. With more information on the coaching staff being released in coming weeks, we are confident in our selection and know that the individuals at the helm will do well to grow the game in Kalamazoo once more.

Backed by YOU, our amazingly eclectic, and supportive community, we are proud of our roots and unapologetically driven to represent you well. Our club currently focuses on giving back to our community through community engagement, and going further by directly donating $1 of every ticket sold to various organizations around the city that are working to better the lives of our community members. This mission will be continued through our USL-W vertical, and effectively gives us the opportunity to give back even more to the place we call home… But we need your support to make that happen. We are driven in our mission to increase the growth of gender equity in the game, and know that all of you are as well. So with that said, help us boost these young men and women on their path to achieve their goals! Here is a message from club owner Dave Shufelt:

“Simply put, we are thrilled to continue growing the game. Promoting, and furthermore assisting the building of gender equity in the game is something that has been pivotal to our plans as a club. We are thankful for the opportunity from USL to provide a platform that we feel can flourish, and even more so for our community supporting us in this mission. There is a long way to go in the growth of the game, and we are confident in the staff we have brought on, and their ability to lead an amazing program on an amazing mission.”

Community Statement: As a club we are committed to growing the game for all individuals regardless of background, and supporting our community through continued charitable opportunities. Our mission is to positively impact the development of all people touched within the club, and our community, so that all can navigate this world with confidence and pride in who they are.

For players that are interested in joining our 2022 campaign we are going to be offering a second round tryout on Saturday January 15, 2022! Our first tryout was amazing and we need another one to see everyone’s talent lined up one more time! #allezkzoo
